Not too long ago, a man stopped in at Gunner’s Great Garage and said he worked for NAPA. After he saw a Daimler SP 250 and a couple of T Series MGs in the shop, he realized that we don’t buy many new car parts. But he had a side project going that fit right into our interests. He said he was writing a book about Wisconsin car dealers and was looking for old-time photos of any dealerships that fit the bill. And best of all, the Wisconsin State Historical Society was supporting his effort to compile a book on this topic. Apparently their recent book about Wisconsin filling stations was a hit. So if you have or know where to get photos of old time Wisconsin car dealerships, please contact www.gunnersgreatgarage.com and we’ll pass the word.
