I wish I knew how to remove rusty nuts and bolts! I stink at it. We are in the process of taking a 1957 MG Magnette apart to give it a total restoration. And I broke off the bolt that the top end of the rear shock attaches to.
I soaked the darn thing with PB Blaster and wire-brushed the exposed threads and only put light pressure on the nut. And I still broke the bolt off. Now I need to cut welds and drill out bolt fragments just to fix the damage I’ve done. The job is going to take longer, too – and cost more to do.
So I wish I knew how to remove rusty nuts and bolts. Have you got any secret techniques? I’d sure love to hear about them.
