When I was about 12, the “77 Sunset Strip” TV show was one of my favorites. The Kookie character’s Ford T-bucket was a big star in that series and was one of the things that got me interested in hot rods and old cars. Most people say that it was actually the first T-Bucket. It was built in 1952 by Norm Grabowski.
Norm passed away on the morning of Oct. 12. Another hot rodding legend is gone. But the Kookie Kar will always be one of my favorites until the day I go!

I thought that cannot be. Norm Grabowski and my husband Martin Hollmann, who was the number 11 in that hot rod club, passed away the same day and both in the morning. This gives me goosebumps! I guess they were might have been very surprised standing next to each other at Peter’s gate waiting to get in
