LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW

Here it is the middle of winter, in chilly Wisconsin, and I’m making plans to meet with my British car collecting friends almost 90 miles from Iola tomorrow. Neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow will keep me from my appointed rounds, which will take me to the Fox Cities British Car Club (www.foxbrits.com) clubhouse in Oshkosh. There will be beautiful, museum-quality cars taking advantage of the FCBCC Member’s Storage Program. There will be other cars under restoration in the club’s 2-bay shop. But the most important thing is that there will be other PEOPLE there. I’ll be able to talk to Jim Marks about the club bringing British cars to Iola next summer. I’ll be able to talk to Danny Brooks about buying some parts (he is a Moss Motors Ltd. distributor). I can touch base with Jim Rugowski on which shows we’ll be attending with he and Breezy next summer. I’ll be able to talk about getting together with Colette and Shane Hanke to set up a plan to help Shane with an MGB engine swap. As I have said many times before, it is meeting and sharing enjoyments with people that makes this hobby exciting. And though all the cars are tucked away for their winter naps, the people involved with old cars can still get together for good times all year long.
