Oldest Corvette Magazine Turns 35

In the mid-’70s, when I started my long career writing about cars, I picked up a free copy of a pint-sized periodical called Vette Vues at some long ago swap meet.

Back then, “Free” was about all I could afford, and though the issue was probably out of date, I’m sure that I read it from cover to cover, probably until the covers fell off. After all the reading and re-reading, I can tell you that Vette Vues was a great magazine, even though it wasn’t as fat or fancy as the slick newsstand jobs. It really had its own image and character and, lo and behold, it hasn’t changed much over the years.

Now this “old line” Vette publication has produced a 480-page “Best of Book” that captures the greatest photos, stories, articles (and even Corvette cartoons) of the past 35 years. This fact-filled “bookazine” sells for only $19.95, plus $5 shipping. What a great gift for a Corvette guy or gal. For info visit subscriptions@vette-vues.com.
