To me it looks like a furniture store, but Vintage Works (www.vintageworks.com) new facility north of Green Bay, Wis. is a fabulous showroom and shop set up to help old-car enthusiasts get projects done.
Vintage Works has been gaining a lot of traction with restorers and car builders around Green Bay. A group of engineers formed it as a part-time business last winter. The company does sandblasting, powder coating, machining, plasma cutting, sheet metal fabrication and welding. By April, it became a full-time enterprise and now it has moved into a larger facility.
“People can accomplish far more working as a team than they can by themselves,” said Paul Nelson of Vintage Works. “We’ve created a gathering place for talented, ambitious people to have fun, learn from each other and work to reach their dreams.”
Vintage Works makes professional services easily accessible and affordable for hobbyists and homeowners. “Our family friendly environment is designed to help ambitious people not be limited by their time, talents or finances.” Said Nelson.
In addition to offering more room for equipment, supplies and machine tools, the new Vintage Works headquarters includes a showroom and a ‘50s style malt shop with a red-and-white Coca-Cola color scheme.
Anyone with a passion for restoration work is invited to visit the shop during regular hours or by appointment. The regular hours are Monday-Friday 9:00 am–5:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 am–12:00 pm. The address is 2146 East Deerfield Ave., Suamico, WI 54173. Appointments can be arranged by calling: (920) 434-0300. Clubs planning fall tours may be interested in stopping by the shop, too. A grand opening for the new facility is coming up early in September.
