Moon car club formed

Angelo Van Bogart |

It’s taken more than 80 years since the company stopped producing cars, but the St Louis-based Moon automobile finally has a club of its own.

Old Cars Weekly‘s own contributor Gerald Perschbacher — a Moon owner himself — was there at the founding on March 19, showing his touring car. He was also interviewed by a local TV station in regards to the Moon automobile and the founding of the club, which included the grandson of Moon founder Joseph W. Moon. Look for Gerald’s coverage of the event in an upcoming issue of Old Cars Weekly, but for now, enjoy this link to an interview of Moon club members and keep an eye open for Gerald!

Remember, one of the few places you can read about rarely seen prewar cars is the “Standard Catalog of American Cars, 1805-1942,” available through the www.shopoldcarsweekly.com store.
