I just got my subscription renewal today in the mail. I assumed my subscription had run out the beginning of July as I have not received an Old cars Weekly since then. I would like to re-subscribe but not if I don’t get the paper
Where’s the Car of the Week?

I wish to submit a comment regarding the write up on the upcoming William Bunch auction in the September 22 issue. Reference is made to one of the cars to be auctioned, a 1976 Cadillac Milan, indicating that the Milan, a modified Cadillac Seville, was customized in Milan, Italy, Hence, that’s how it got its name. I have a 1979 Milan, not modified in Milan Italy, but here in the United States; in fact, I have the work order sheet written by the shop that did the work. I’d like to know more about the “Italian” Milan – is its conversion documented?

I would like to know if Old Cars “Kenny’s Klunkers” is still in your magazine?(classified ads,#9700).I did a search on your site, but nothing came up.Thanks.

In response to your 12/15 issue. The mystery car #6 on page 34 is a Model “T” Ford. The hood ,radiator shell, fenders and running boards are a dead give away. While the wheels are not “T”,Chevrolet Disks were a popular conversion in the day. The coupe body is definitely not Ford. You could buy a “T” chassis and put your own body on which is why Ford is ” The Universal Car”
re The King’s Knight”, December 22, 2011 issue of Old Cars, why did the sleeve-valve engine lose out to the poppet-valve engine? Is it that the sleeve-valve engine is not well-suited to operation at high rpm?
My father has been searching for months for a publication called Old Cars Guide to Auto restoration. He claims it comes out 4 times a year but has been unable to find an issue since the last one he bought summer 2010.
We would like to find this magazine for him can anyone clarify where to purchase and how often it is published, or in fact if it still is in circulation.
Thank You
Laurie

I was a long-time subscriber, going back to the late 1970s. I remember—and miss—fine
writers like Bruce Fagan ["Sagas of the Old West"], Ed Robinson, Tim Howley ["Somewhere
West of Laramie"], James Flammang, Ned Comstock, and Pat Chappell. Robinson, especially,
had a great, funny series called, “Sorry I bought it; glad I sold it; and no, I don’t want another one”.
I want to reccomend a supplier for replacement for emblems for you collector vehicle.
Emblemagic.com was able to supply the front emblem for my 1954 Plymouth. It is an excellent reproduction. They have an on line catalog of emblems available. I am quite satsfiedwith their product and I do reccommend their company. I found them through a Google search.

Do you still provide information placards and “Please do not touch” signs for car shows? I represent the Presque Isle Region AACA and would like info on how to obtain about 150 of each for our annual meet. I am also a subscriber to OCW. Please advise.
Thank you,
John Ropelewski

This is in response to the reader from Elizabeth, NJ about a factory burning down on Dec. 22, 2011. I believe it was the old Starr factory. Well, while the building has been in disrepair for years, driving by it today on my way home to Pennsylvania it certainly doesn’t look any different than it did before the fire. The structure is all masonry and sustained hardly any fire damage whatsoever. The building is still standing.
Ihave enjoyed your magazinefor about 5 years now.Saw an article in your latest, about a ’66 Studebaker Daytona, which was similiar to one my brother had back in 1970.His was green, with a vinyl top,and had a 6 cyl.,with a 3 speed, that he said got better gas milage than his wife’s VW ! It would have become mine,in 1974,but some dope ran a stop sign, and that ended that.My brother was unhurt. As usual, thanks for the memories.
I would like to sell my truck. Please email the steps to do so. Thanks, Dave
