Craig Fuchs certainly didn’t go home from the Iola Old Car Show and Swap Meet empty handed.

This year, number 15 to the show,  proved to be a lucky trip for him as that is where he registered for Old Cars Weekly’s Ultimate Garage Giveaway, a $16,000 prize package.

2008 will be a memorable year for Fuchs.

From the 230,000 entries in the contest, Fuchs’ name was randomly pulled so the  Watertown, Wis., resident received the prize package that features a 1971 Chevy Malibu donated by Country Classic Cars.

An avid car collector, Fuchs said that he is glad to make a little extra space in his garage for his winnings.

Other prizes include a lift from Complete Hydraulic Sales and Service; transportation of the prize car to Fuchs home by Express Auto Transport, a Millermatick 140 Welder with Auto-Set and Arc Armor Safety Pak from Miller Electric; Easy Access from Backyard Buddy; buffer kit from Meguiars, King of the Road Parking Carpet from Mid-America Motorworks; a bucket of Rustbeeter from Rustbeeter; Texaco Fire Chief and Sky Chief Porcelain Pump Signs from Matthews Auctions, LLC; automotive sign from VanDerBrink Auctions; a pair of Kneeblades from Kneeblades, LLC. A Dale Klee Limited Edition Print from Auto Art Gallery; Crosley wall box radio from Gino’s Malt Shop collection. A gift certificate from Marx Parts; STA-BIL products from Gold Eagle; tickets to the Volo Auto Museum, a bookshelf from Pit Pal; a pair of aluminized Steel Mufflers from Waldrons Antique Exhaust; Chevy Shop Coat from Vintage Shop Coats; ZDD Plus from Kirban Performance Products; product from Bardahl Mfg.; tool box and miscellaneous items, including a $200 gift certificate from Steele Rubber;  a wood graining kit from Grain-It, Inc., a $20 gift certificate from Marx Parts, five-pack of Intacap from Intacap; a signed copy of the book “Glenn Pray, the Man Who Brought Legends to Life,”  provided by Felix De Geyter; a one-year subscription to Petroleum Collectibles Monthly and a gift certificate to Wisconsin Surplus Online Auction.

Prizes were displayed at the Iola show in a garage from Dennison Building and Supply.

Details about Old Cars Weekly’s next sweepstakes — Fall Garage Giveaway — will be announced on OldCarsWeekly.com in the coming days and in the Sept. 4 issue of the magazine.
