Bob Walton, co-author of “Route 66, The People-The Places-The Dream” will have his book for sale at the Wyckoff Family YMCA’s “Holiday Market Place” on Saturday, November 15, from 10am to 3pm. He will sign and inscribe his JAY LENO’S BOOK CLUB selection. Walton’s co-author, Sal Santoro, who resides out of state, has pre-signed all the books so they will have the signatures of both authors.

Route 66, The People-The Places-The Dream, with 260 glossy pages including over 500 color photographs, chronicles the 38 day coast-to-coast road trip Walton and Santoro took in Bob’s 1968 Cadillac convertible. Their round-trip odyssey covered 7,292 miles including all of historic Route 66 from Chicago to Los Angeles.

Critics have been unanimous in their praise. Mike McNessor, Editor of Hemming’s Motor News stated “If driving across America in an old Cadillac convertible isn’t on your bucket list, it will be after you check out Sal and Bob’s Route 66 adventure.” Paul Taylor of Route 66 Magazine called the book “a photojournalistic achievement.” MotorWeek Television classified it a “must read.” Steve Natale of Examiner.com gave it five stars. Lars Kneller, President of the International Cadillac and LaSalle Club stated, “This is a truly wonderfully well written book.” And Jay Leno exclaimed, “It’s great!”

More than 2,000 copies of “Route 66, The People-The Places-The Dream” have been sold and, according to The New York Times, this places it in the top 5% of all self-published books. The first (and only) printing is expected to be sold out very soon. To guarantee that you receive your books for holiday gift-giving send an email to Bob@Route66Guys.com or call 201-819-0070 and reserve your copies now for delivery at the “Holiday Market Place.”
