2007 Freedom Road Rally to tour New England

BENNINGTON, Vt. – Pre-1974 cars will tour the back roads of New England June 3-9 during the Freedom Road Rally. Participants will cover 1,200 miles upon leaving the event’s Bennington, Vt., starting point, then drive through New England’s prettiest roads and view some of the finest car collections and museums in the country.
“We have been working very hard this year to create the ideal car enthusiasts’ dream vacation,” stated Chris Dorsey, one of the event’s coordinators.
From Bennington, the event will head north and then east through Vermont, New Hampshire and to the coast of Maine. It will then follow the coast south into Massachusetts and then back to Vermont. The overall route stays primarily on back roads and state routes with speeds averaging 50-55mph. The overall style of the event will be set up similarly to the vintage European road rallies, where the overall goal is to see some fantastic sites through the day and to enjoy evening festivities.
