Fire devastates Hagen’s Auto Parts in WA

Hagen’s is widely known for stocking rare and hard-to-find auto parts and has been at the same location for nearly 65 years.

The fire was noticed by a passerby at around 3:30 a.m., but firefighters were unable to enter the building because of the size of the fire and instability of the structure. A portion of the building roof collapsed. Freezing weather complicated the battle. No injuries were reported.

According to Hagen’s Web site, the business operated out of 33,000 sqaure feet of buildings that were “stuffed full” with New-old-stock and the latest reproduction parts for all makes and models of cars from 1900 to the present,”from AMC to Zephyrs”.  The fire involved a warehouse.

The business was started by the Hagen brothers in 1945 as a parts store and machine shop. Over the years the business grew and was passed on to the next generation. The business also now involves online sales through its own e-commerce store.
