Dearborn show to spotlight classic tailfins

The Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn will spotlight classics from the era of tail fin design in its annual car show July 25.

The Automotive Hall of Fame Classic promises at least 40 vehicles showcasing the evolution of the tail fin from its origin in aircraft-inspired post-World War II design to the trend’s height around 1960.

Proceeds from the show benefit the Automotive Hall of Fame.

The show is open from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The $5 admission covers access to the car show and the Automotive Hall of Fame museum. Admission for children younger than 12 is free.
