The good thing about sanding fiberglass is it’s easy and it doesn’t take long. The bad news is it’s easy to get carried away and take off too much material. Here, the driver’s side cowl panel is getting lightly sanded during the fitting process. Below, the trailing edge of the hood is also sanded down. As is the case with door panels, a poorly fitted hood will eventually rub off paint.
