The vent window rubber was laid out to ensure it wasn’t kinked or torn. After several test fits, rubber was trimmed from the weatherstrip if it prevented the glass from fitting in the replated vent window frames. Once cut to size, the rubber was lubricated with soap and water and inserted in the frames. Any smooth, thin tool can be used to work the rubber into the proper position, as long as it won’t cut the rubber.
