Although some 2008 car events seem to have been impacted by rising gas prices and a slowed-down economy. the Brian Redman International Challenge (BRIC) at Road America, in Elkhart Lake, Wis., isn't one of them. It is 2 am and I just got back from the Friday event Racing Car Concours. This event was jam-packed with both great cars and interesting people. One of the cars I helped judge was a one-of-six-built Porsche prototype with a racing pedigree. Another car was a one-of-one 1993 BENTLEY racing car. There was even a hot rod and a Mexican Road Race Lincoln. There were over 130 cars entered in the concours, which appears to be a new record I can hardly wait until Saturday night, when cars entered in the even larger Street Car Concours get their turn. If tonght was any indication, it's going to be a crowd "scene and be seen."
