Chevrolet introduced new styling in 1949 and kept it until 1952. During those years, the sporty Bel Air hardtop was also introduced. Fastback models tapered off in sales and went down to just a trickle. Convertibles and station wagons were good looking, but not very common. The sedan delivery was introduced and walked a fine line between car and truck. For some reason, Chevys of these years seem to be enjoying a boost in collector popularity right now, after decades of being overlooked by all but a few. These may be good cars to invest in right now, especially the harder-to-find models. If you already have one, get a copy of OLD CARS PRICE GUIDE and keep up to date on theirvalues.
