A West Coast collector has just purchased one of the 1926 Hudson "trucks" that was used in the historic big screen version of John Steinbeck's novel "Grapes of Wrath." The vehicle -- actually a converted 1926 Hudson Touring Car -- has been in storage since 1940, a year after the Fonda film was shot. The buyer is picking the car up the Saturday after Christmas. Old Cars Weekly will publish a report as soon as all the facts are in. This vehicle has the Hudson Super Six. Apparently the second one had a Ford V-8 installed. Anyone out there driving a converted Hudson truck that had a Ford V-8 in it?
