Sometimes I think that the travel industry doesn't give old car hobbyists the respect they deserve. Last week I made a 380-mile trip to Eau Claire, Wis. Tomorrow I'm heading for Milwaukee to look at two cars and Saturday I'll be going to La Crosse. And I just finished making hotel arrangements for the Mecum Auction in Indianapolis May 19-23. The day after that I'll be in Chicago. That's a lot of miles and a bunch of hotel rooms, but when I open OLD CARS WEEKLY I rarely see ads connected to the travel industry. Hey guys, just because I prefer driving (when I can) and I wear jeans when I get to my destination, don't think I'm not supporting you. How about giving us a little respect?
