The e-newsletter from the Vanderbilt Cup Races website is one of the numerous e-newsletters I immediately open when it lands in my inbox. Although the newsletter and website focus on the Vanderbilt Cup Races — an event that hasn't been run for more than 100 years — the newsletter and website frequently publish newsworthy information. This week, the news focuses on a Chrysler town car built for the Walter P. Chrysler family that has ties to — you guessed it — the Vanderbilts.

According to this week's Vanderbilt Club Races newsletter, the 1937 Chysler Imperial C-15 town car custom built by LeBaron for Mrs. Walter P. Chrysler has found a new home. For 53 years, the unique 1937 Chrysler Imperial sat in storage at the Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum and the Long Island Automotive Museum. As of April 4, it has found a new home and perhaps now it will be bathed in sunlight, rather than dust.

I suggest checking out the story and pictures on the Vanderbilt Cup Races website here, and while you're there, sign up for the e-newsletter. I think you'll enjoy it, too!
