Not only does Wisconsin have the world's worst collector car license plates, they might be making them even more difficult to get.

The Wisconsin DOT is considering an order to prevent the registration of "non-standard vehicles."

A hearing that will address a possible code by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation that may allow the DOT to refuse registration of some pre-1968 vehicles that do not meet the regulations of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Such cars could include street rods, kit cars or imported cars.
