Old Cars Reader Wheels: 1969 SAMCO Cord Warrior

Old Cars spotlights a reader’s 1969 SAMCO Cord Warrior

Charles Hawkins is the proud owner of this rare SAMCO (Sports Automobile Manufacturing Company) Cord Warrior. There were not a lot these made (somewhere around 400). The SAMCO company of Tulsa, OK was the brainchild of Bill Lear of Lear Jet. The Cord replica cars were never intended to be produced in large numbers.

This is what Charles had to say about his Warrior…

"This Cord Warrior was used as a pace car for 30 years. It was made from old molds from ’37 cords in 1969. It took me four days to remove decals. It sports a Ford 302 cid engine and a c4 transmission."
