If Fred Neubauer winds up with more than his fair share of the 1967 AMC Ambassador convertibles remaining in the world, then a little bit of collector car justice has probably been served. It would be hard to find a guy more attached to the stylish orphan ragtops than Neubauer, a resident of Wisconsin Dells, Wis.

Car of the Week: 1954 Nash Ambassador

Ingvar “Ole” Arneson is a Hudson guy. When you strike up a conversation with the gregarious Wisconsin Rapids., Wis., resident, you don’t have to steer the discussion towards Hudsons. He’ll just take you there regardless. “I’ve owned seven of them in my lifetime,” he says proudly.

So when it comes to hobby cars, Arneson is partial to one flavor, and one flavor only. Until recently April of 2009, that is, when he ran across an amazing, all-original 1954 Nash Ambassador with just 15,000 miles.
