House of Kolor inducts first “Hall of Famers”

During the 2009 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Jo Kosmoski, inventor of House of Kolor; Joe Bailon, inventor of record of Kandy Apple Red; Von Dutch, father of modern pinstriping; Sam Barris, customizer and brother of George Barris; and Darryl Starbird, customizer and King of the bubble tops were named as the first inductees to the House of Kolor “Hall of Fame.”
A large crowd of hot rod enthusiasts attended the induction ceremony at the House of Kolor/Valspar booth in the Las Vegas Convention Center. Kosmoski handed out custom awards and beautiful custom-made jackets to the living honorees and to Sam Barris’ son John Barris.
