The third Symco Shakedown will be taking place just two miles from Gunner's Great Garage on August 12-13. The Shakedown is a "traditional" hot hot show and is held in a very unique place called Unionville. This is best described as a privately owned antique village filled with old buildings, antique tractors, steam traction engines, one lungers and all sorts of other "outmoded" goodies.

It's like the Volo Village Museum (www.volocars.com) of the North without the Hollywood flashiness. It is also the only place in the world that you can see operational Fairbanks-Morse power plants of one-cylinder through six-cylinder configurations.

The American Pickers segment about Symco used to be on the show's Website www.symcoshakedown.com. Check and see if it's still there and, if it is, you'll get a kick out of seeing all the great old stuff that's been brought there--courtesy of a "tractor club" called The Union Threshermen.

Shakedown is quite a party, with great hot rods, pin-up models, dragsters, tractors, outstanding bands and plenty of food and drink. But we are also offering free "Hot Rod Hot Dawgs" and pop to anyone who stops at Gunner's Great Garage (www.gunnersgreatgarage.com) on their way to Symco. Look for our new 1975 Ford F-350 Tow Truck and stop in for some free eats and a bench racing session.

We have cars unders restoration, books and magazines for sale, model cars, tin signs and all sorts of automotive gifts. So, think ahead for the winter holidays and get that special gift now.

Thanks

Gunner
