THIRD TIME’S A CHARM!
KEMP AUTO MUSEUM INVITED TO SHOW FOR THEIR THIRD
AMELIA ISLAND CONCOURS D’ELEGANCE
CHESTERFIELD, Missouri – Kemp Auto Museum and its 1939 Mercedes-Benz 540-K Cabriolet A have been invited back to the 15th Annual Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, which will be held the weekend of March 12-14, 2010 at The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island and The Golf Club of Amelia Island at Summer Beach.
The Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance is by invitation only. Each year, the Amelia chairman invites only those vehicles which best exemplify the annual theme and class structure. The 2010 concours theme is “Field of Dreams.”
The concours chairman extended an invitation to the Kemp Auto Museum to bring back its award-winning 1939 Mercedes-Benz 540-K Cabriolet A to this year’s concours. In 2009, this rare and vintage automobile from the Kemp Auto Museum’s collection received the award for the “Mercedes-Benz Star of Excellence For The Most Elegant Mercedes-Benz” from Mercedes-Benz USA.
According to Van Ness, “Being invited back to the Amelia Island Concours for the third consecutive year is an honor, and to have the opportunity to show our 1939 Mercedes-Benz 540-K Cabriolet A again is a real treat.” He continues, “Receiving invitations for two consecutive years is a tribute to and recognition of the one-of-a-kind collection The Kemp Foundation has obtained and the Museum maintains.”
