Some readers shared an interesting link with us this week. The name of the YouTube video translated is "Charts by car that look painted in 3D!" One click and we could see what "3-D" meant. Somehow this painter can make the chrome come to life on canvas.

And get this: We helped him!

Who knew one of our books could inspire art? The maranhense José of Ribamar Coast olive Tree, the Ribinha, discovered a talent two years ago of "hyper painting" old car images.

In this video, he illustrates on canvas the 1954 Cadillac Eldorado pictured in the "Cars of the Fantastic '50s" book authored by Dan Lyons and published by F+W Publications.

Ribinha's paintings of cars from the 1950s and 1960s can be seen in São Paulo, in the exposition "Rescue of Dream and Glamour," in the Baron of the Itararé (http://www.baraodaitarare.com.br), beginning Nov. 24.

Even if English is the only language you speak or understand, click to see his "3-D" painting in progress.
