The Iola Old Car Show pitted Ford versus Chevy, and the winners were those who came to see the cars from each make in the Theme Area, Blue Ribbon Concours, Swap Meet, Car Corral, Postwar show field and Prewar show field. Droves of bow-ties and blue ovals trekked to the tiny hamlet of Iola, Wis., July 11-13, 2013, along with independents, Chrysler Corp. products and even a number of imports. Chevrolet and Ford also set up "ride and drive" exhibits, allowing spectators a chance behind the wheel of new Fords and Chevrolets, including V-8 Camaros and 2014 Impala and Silverados and a new Mustang convertible and F-150.

Relive the action at Iola '13 with a few scenes from this year's show:

1936 Chevrolet coupe was bargain-priced at $16,000.
At $25,000, this running 1933 Ford Cabriolet in the Iola Old Car Show swap meet sold during the show.
The original owner's son displayed his father's 1965 Chevelle 300 coupe with an L79 327-cid V-8. It wears its original license plates and still has its old time slips from the drag strip in the glove box.
Displayed for several years in the Postwar showfield of Iola, this Panther Pink 1970 Dodge Challenger with a 318 moved to the Car Corral for 2013; it had a $23,000 price tag.
Here's a Ford you don't see everywhere: a Taunus model. This wagon originated in Montana before it was offered in the Iola Old Car Show Swap Meet.
The old ladies jump when the big-block Chevy is fired up on this 1954 Kaiser-Darrin gasser. The owner built the car in 1961 and raced it. Years later, he heard about a yellow Darrin body with lettering and tracked down the body to find it was his old drag car. He's restored it to this killer machine.
A true survivor, this unrestored 1931 Auburn 8-98 sedan still had its Columbia rear end and a large amount of its original black paint. It was priced at $21,000 in the swap meet and found a new home.
One of our favorites was this 1929 De Soto roadster from the first year of De Soto production. It carried a $12,500 price tag and wasn't in the swap long.
"Christine" brought reinforcements to Iola '13, but luckily, there wasn't any trouble on the grounds. The red 1958 Plymouth is one of the "Christine" movie cars, and its gang in the Postwar field included a 1957 Plymouth Fury and 1957 convertible.
Decking out the Blue Ribbon area, a Lemon Twist 1970 Plymouth Superbird towered above the other concours-class cars.
Straight out of Art Astor's Ford collection came this Flamingo Red and Sungate Ivory 1953 Ford Crestline Victoria. It was priced at a very reasonable $24,500 considering its quality.
