You've got to know the right people to sit in the Oval Office, but if you have a million greenbacks, you can sit in the current president's former Chrysler 300C.

The 2005 Chrysler 300C originally owned by President Obama has reappeared on eBay . The first time the car was listed on the auction website was three years ago and at that time, phony bids pushed the price up to $1 billion and the auction was pulled. The opening bid on the current auction is $1 million.

The current Chicago-area seller has relisted the vehicle, noting it has 19,000 miles and was used by the president from 2004-2007, during which time he was a senator in Illinois. The seller states the car comes with a copy of the original title showing the president's name and stating it was titled to him when the vehicle had 2 miles on the odometer.

To justify the high price of entry into the auction, the seller noted several recent sales of other vehicles connected to prominent world figures, including Pope John Paul II, Pope Benedict and the president of Iran. According to the seller, those cars sold for $690,000, $244,000 and 1.5 million pounds, respectively.

Since the undeniably historic 1964 Cadillac hearse that carried President John F. Kennedy sold for a $176,000 last weekend at the Barrett-Jackson with the buyer's premium, we think $1 million is extremely steep for a gently used, modern Chrysler.
