Stutz, "the car that made good in a day," will have its second day in the sun this Saturday, Feb. 25, when the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum in Philadelphia pays tribute to the marque, one of the very few American cars to seriously compete in international competition before World War II.
As the latest focus of the museum's frequent "Demo Day" series, Dr. Simeone will lecture on the history of the Stutz company and the role the four featured Stutzes played in the company's racing heritage.
The event begins at noon with the cars displayed and then demonstrated. The featured Stutzes include a 1916 Stutz Bearcat (pictured), 1927 Stutz Black Hawk four-passenger Speedster, 1928 Stutz Black Hawk Speedster and the 1929 Stutz Supercharged Le Mans.
