Until the second weekend in July, when more than 100,000 people come to the small Wisconsin town, the village of Iola's population is 1,198...and one GM Futurliner.

After a successful stint at the MSRA's Back to the 50's event in St. Paul last weekend, the giant red Futurliner has traveled to Wisconsin in preparation for the Iola Old Car Show, to be held July 8-11. Here are photos of it landing in Iola earlier today, where it will hide until the show starts. Notice it crossing in front of the Iola Old Car Show "HQ" in downtown Iola. These pics are courtesy of Iola Old Car Show public relations director Mitch Swenson.

Note the Iola Old Car Show office, on State and Main Streets, visible behind the semi cab.
