The where and when of summer travel

Publish date:

It's been busy here at Old Cars Weekly with the size change and our upcoming Guide to Auto Restoration, upcoming Chevrolet book and planning for the Iola Old Car Show, but I think I have finally nailed down part of my travel for the year. If you're heading to any of these events, be sure to say "Hi!"

2010 CCCA Museum “Experience,” June 4-6, Hickory Corners, Mich.

MSRA Back to the 50's, June 18-20, St. Paul, Minn.

Iola Old Car Show, July 8-11, Iola, Wis.

Pierce-Arrow Society National Meet, July 13-17, Rochester, Minn.

Concours of the United States at Meadow Brook Hall, July 25, Mich.

I am looking forward to a great show season, particularly the first of these stops -- the CCCA Museum Experience -- since it will feature closed Classics. Although most people prefer a wind-in-your-hair drop top, I have long favored the looks of a well-proportioned coupe or a smart sedan. This meet promises plenty of both.

Here's just one of the cars you can expect to see at the event, a 1930 Lincoln with Judkins coupe coachwork:
