2009 Spring Carlisle: The kickoff to the show season
The Spring Carlisle Collector Car Swap Meet and Corral marks the beginning of the swap meet season each year. This year’s edition figures to be another monster event.
The Spring Carlisle Collector Car Swap Meet and Corral, April 22-26, marks the beginning of the swap meet season each year. Approximately 110,000 attendees will see more than 100 acres filled with anything and everything automotive related. For those looking to buy a collector car, there are more than 2,000 vehicles of all makes, models and prices for sale in the car corral. The Spring Carlisle Auction, a sister event, takes place within walking distance at the Carlisle Expo Center showcasing antique, collector, and special-interest vehicles.
Here's a rundown of some of the planned highlights for the weekend:
The Car Corral: The car corral is where visitors can buy and sell car privately. You can shop, compare and make the deal directly with the owner. Notary services including temporary tags are available right in the car corral. All vehicles in the corral must be for sale, in running condition and cannot be displayed on trailers. For more information, you may contact the show at 717-243-7855 or download vendor information here.
Spring Carlisle Auction: The Carlisle Auction experience provides the perfect opportunity to purchase or sell your collector car. A large and diverse selection of extraordinary vehicles and our new Carlisle Expo Center are the ideal combination for a great selling environment. The Carlisle Expo Center is located on K street, 1 1/2 blocks outside Gate 3. Carlisle Auctions will waive the general consignment fee for the 2009 Spring, Corvette and Fall Auctions. This incentive is open to all consignors for non-prime auction hours and requires that vehicle details and photos be sent in advance of the posted deadlines. See the Carlisle Auctions website or call 717-243-7855 for details.
