007 vehicles to be featured at Illinois Show

In over 20 films, James Bond has made driving moves that would make NASCAR’s Jeff Gordon salivate. At the 2009 Classics and Chrome Car Show, patrons have a chance to see some James Bond vehicles that have helped make him famous.

The Jaguar XKR from "Die Another Day"

Three vehicles from three different 007 movies will be featured at the 2009 Classics and Chrome Car Show in mid April.

Shown will be the “Q” Jet Boat from "The World is Not Enough", the Jaguar XKR from "Die Another Day" and the 1969 Mercury Cougar XR-7 from "On Her Majesty’s Secret Service".

Now in its ninth year, Classics and Chrome continues to be the largest indoor car show in northern Illinois, showcasing more than 120 unique vehicles that span over 100 years.

Located at the Indoor Sports Center, 8800 E. Riverside, Loves Park, IL, the show will be held on Saturday, April 18, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 19, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $6, $4 for advanced group sales, and free for children under 10.

In 2008, a record crowd of 7,500 people attended the event which features pre- and post-war classics, sports cars, muscle cars, hot-rod and custom cars, exotic and race cars, specialty cars and motorcycles.

Although the “heavy metal” is the main attraction, the Classics and Chrome raffle is one of the show’s most popular features.
