Charlotte, NC – The Hornets Nest Region, Antique Automobile Club of America, in partnership with Charlotte Motor Speedway, has announced that the Spring Charlotte AutoFair scheduled for April 8-11, 2021, has been canceled amid the continued Covid-19 pandemic. Hornets Nest Region is notifying Spring 2021 Charlotte AutoFair vendors and participants that the Spring Event has been canceled.
The Hornets Nest Region production of Fall Charlotte AutoFair remains on schedule for September 9-11, 2021. The Fall Event features more than 6,000 Vendor spaces offering a multitude of restoration auto parts and memorabilia, which provides enormous benefit to thousands of collector vehicle enthusiasts and hobbyists who attend Charlotte AutoFair each year.
“While North Carolina is still moving toward a phased re-opening of the economy, we recognize that restrictions with health and safety related to large public gatherings like Charlotte AutoFair are still in place in April,” said Mel Carson, executive director of the Hornets Nest Region, AACA. “Discussions with state and local government health officials continue; however, the Region Board of Directors believes this is the best decision for the health and safety of the thousands of our vendors, hobbyists, and collector vehicle enthusiasts who enjoy Charlotte AutoFair every year.”
Charlotte AutoFair is the largest collector vehicle event in the Southeast and attracts automotive enthusiasts from all over the United States, Canada, and Europe. Hornets Nest Region, AACA has produced Charlotte AutoFair on more than 150 acres of the Charlotte Motor Speedway property since 1978 – Spring and Fall events.
