Special Presentation

3:00-4:30pm

With Ruth Ann Fruehauf, the youngest daughter of Roy and Ruth Horn Fruehauf
of Fruehauf Trailer Company!

Encouraged by the interest of friends and motivated to answer the persistent question of “What happened to Fruehauf Trailer Company?”, Ruth Ann Freuhauf, the youngest daughter of Roy and Ruth Horn Fruehauf, has been working on the Fruehauf History for most of her adult life. With the assistance of a researcher and historian Darlene Norman, shediscovered Roy’s boxes which contained a wealth of documents, photographs, scrap books and correspondence from many historical figures. The documents and scrapbooks of news clippings record major events in her father’s career with Fruehauf Trailer Company, which Ruth will share with attendees at a special presentation at the Gilmore Car Museum.

The Fruehauf Trailer Historical Society is an organization dedicated to the preservation of the history of Fruehauf Trailer Company and the Fruehauf family legacy. The society has created historical books including “The Fruehauf Promotional Story, 1926-1960” and “Fruehauf, the First Name in Transportation” an in-depth analysis of the company’s history, plus a traveling exhibit rich with Fruehauf memorabilia and archival materials.
