Hunting for old car parts on the Internet is fascinating and rewarding. Usually, with a few emails and a little detective work, I can find just about anything I have looked for. And best of all, I have met many fine people in the process and made a few new friends. My last two searches are still not complete. I'm looking for a 1953 Pontiac horn button insulatoe (a short blue plastic tube with a small collar) and a set of 10-spline spider gears for the differential in a 1940 Dodge pickup truck. Want to bet I can find them? The Internet is really a great tool for classic car restorers.
