Ricky and Jordan Taylor and Max Angelelli drove their No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Dallara-Corvette to an overall victory in the Tudor United Sportscar Championship season finale. During the 10-hour Petit Lemans venue they finished 400 laps of the 2.54-mile Road Atlanta racing course at an average speed of about 100 mph.
The Wayne Taylor Racing team battled the Action Express Racing Corvette for the entire 10 hours, swapping the lead a dozen times. The Action Express team did take the series championship. The Taylor brothers' margin of victory was a mere 11 seconds. For Wayne Taylor it was déjà vu. He was on the first winning team in Petit Le Mans competition n 1998.
Driver champions: P. Joao Barbosa and Christian Fittipaldi took the Patron North American Endurance Championship with the No. 5 Action Express Racing Corvette DP. That handed top honors in the prototype class to Chevrolet and Corvette. Porsche North America took the GT Le Mans honors. Aim Autosport copped the GT Daytona award for Ferrari.
