“TOM SAWYERING” THE TRIUMPH

Remember how Tom Sawyer got all of his friend's to help him whitewash the fence? Well, that's what we're planning to do at Gunner's Great Garage in Manawa, Wis., on Saturday April 9 beginning at 9 am.

Shane Hanke -- who run's Shane's Classic Sports Cars at the Garage -- has a white Triumph TR-7 in the shop and we are going to "whitewash" it by having everyone who comes by that morning clean it, polish it and wax it with a variety of car care products we're testing.

Dave Collard of Diamond Dave's Detailing in Green Bay, Wis., has offered to supervise our "whitewashing the Triumph" experience and to demo some of the car detailing techniques he uses at Diamond Dave's. This is a chance for anyone who can to visit the shop to pick up a little car care educatin' from a professional just before the beginning of the car show season.

We, will supply the clay bar, waxes, polishes, cleaners, towels and tools needed for some hands-on detailing and Diamond Dave will share his experience, knowledge and talent.

And if all goes well, Shane's TR-7 will wind up looking a bit cleaner and shiner than it's been in awhile.
