Minnesota is the Land of 10,000 Lakes and also Dennis Anderson. When a boy is growing up, they think about cars, girls, and well cars. Dennis Anderson was no exception.

He bought his first vehicle, a 1934 Chevrolet when he was 11 years old and drove it up and down the driveway at the farm. Dennis said that he owned over 20 vehicles before he graduated high school. His favorite car was a 1958 Chevrolet 2 door that says he bought, well, in a shady deal up in Minneapolis. But he loved that car and boy did it fly.

Having a car meant that you had transportation for dates and Dennis met the love of his life when he was in 10th grade – Audrey. Dennis says that it was love at first sight and they have been together ever since – 53 years together.

His father owned dairy processing plants and he worked with that business till he started his own. Starting a new life with Audrey and a business was met with a lot of challenges and sadly to say, he sold the 1958 Chevrolet to make the first payroll. Dennis says that sometimes you just gotta do what is needed.

His family, two boys, and the business started to grow. Dennis developed unique ways to process ingredients for many products and built his business up to add more plants and develop more unique ingredients for products from animal feed, soy milk, and even Benefiber.

Lot #23V: Rare 1952 Mack Model L Fire Truck. It is fully restored and runs and drives. Model 505A Chassis #505A1020 ZSF-9.75. Painted red in color. Beautiful. This truck is #3 of 6 built.

He built his business up to a point that he could revive his passion for horsepower and wheels. He bought vintage race cars, trucks (including rare fire trucks), cab-overs, cars, tractors, and more that brought back memories from growing up. The collecting tractors came from his wife’s dad’s interest in the vintage ag.

Dennis sold his businesses and retired. Just as he retired, he developed cancer and was put on an experimental treatment. Dennis was tough as nails and survived the treatments and beat the odds. The doctors still can’t believe that he is a 10-year cancer survivor-thriver! A lucky dog.

Audrey and Dennis enjoy and love the cars, tractors and collectibles on their beautiful Minnesota homestead, but it’s time to scale back and spend more time together, traveling, and seeing the world. Cars will still be a big part of Dennis’ and Audrey’s lives, but they want them now to go to good homes and to people that will enjoy them as much as they have.
