Ault Park Concours d’Elegance gears up for June 12-14 weekend

Cincinnati, Ohio – The 2009 Ault Park Concours d’ Elegance Show and Event Weekend will be held June 12-14 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Included will be the annual classic car show, now in its 32nd year, on June 12 and 13. It will be followed by the Concours d’ Elegance on Sunday, June 14, featuring over 200 collector vehicles.

Sunday’s Concours d’ Elegance will have five classes representing “Excellence in German Design & Engineering”. In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Morgan automobiles, there will be a display of two extremely rare Morgan Plus 4 Plus vehicles. Thirteen other classes of automobiles, ranging from brass-era antiques and full classics to racecars and modern supercars, including a special display of land speed record cars and historic Indian motorcycles, will complete this world-class automotive exhibition. The June 14 event will also feature The Will Sherman Automotive Art Show.

“Cruisin for a Cure” Dinner & Live Auction– Friday, June 12 – 7:00 – 11:00 p.m.
hosted by Porsche of the Village, Maserati of Cincinnati, Volvo of Cincinnati, and Beechmont Audi at 4113 Plainville Rd. The fundraising event includes a live auction set amongst a display of fine luxury cars and vintage Porsches. Price is $125 per person.

History of Coach-Building Seminar – Saturday, June 13 – 10:30 a.m. – noon
Hosted by Porsche of the Village and D&D Restorations, at the new Porsche of the Village meeting room, 4113 Plainville Rd. This free seminar provides the opportunity to see and hear about some of the most state-of-the-art, advanced restoration techniques.

Countryside Tour – Saturday, June 13 – Noon - gather at Mariemont Square; at 1:00 p.m. the Countryside Tour departs from Mariemont Square for a scenic drive throughout the Cincinnati and surrounding areas. Participants will enjoy a stop at a private museum and restoration shop featuring dozens of rare antique farm tractors. Tour is open to all car enthusiasts at $ 25 per car.

Garage Party – Saturday, June 13 – 5:00 p.m.
The annual Garage Party follows the Countryside Tour, and features a buffet of gourmet appetizers and cocktails set at one of Cincinnati’s top private car collections. The Garage Party provides the opportunity to view rare European sports cars and micro cars. Guests may also visit a nearby racing motorcycle restoration shop and participate in a silent auction. Price is $75 per person.

The Ault Park Concours d’ Elegance, Sunday, June 14 will be held from 10:00 am – 4:00 p.m. A drive-through awards ceremony of all class winners with special awards trophies will be held at 2:00 p.m. If purchased before June 8, tickets are $20 per person, or four tickets for $60; day of show, tickets are $25 per person; children 12 and under admitted free.
