until October 20. Don't worry, they aren't going anywhere!
Over the next 2 months they plan to freshen up and revamp the museum to provide you with a new experience and more opportunities to enjoy everything the museum has to offer!
They are also starting their next round of classes at the end of September.
This fall they are offering:
Auto Customizing - Fundamentals
This course provides an introductory experience for working with metals, fiberglass, and rubber for building molds to reproduce auto parts such as grills, spoiler, and scoops. Opportunity for artistry and "one-offs"are also included. Introduction to the vacuum forming machine is included. Auto collision specialists will benefit from learning enhanced skill sets and be prepared for entry level work in shops using current customization techniques. Tuition includes all tools and materials for instruction. Student may want to bring in additional materials or tools for personal custom work.
No prerequisites! Runs Mondays and Wednesdays, 7-10pm, for 10 weeks starting September 29th. Cost $990.
Classic Car Restoration 101
This course focuses on the restoration of classic cars and trucks. Training will involve hands-on experience in all aspects of creating a classic vehicle (yours or ours) into a work of art. You will be taught by highly qualified instructors with national reputations in classic car restoration. This course may lead to a career or is geared to the hobbyist that just wants to do it themselves. Topics include: Dismantling of car trim, inventorying parts, assessing the level of restoration needed, ordering parts, preparing rust for repair, making patch panels, proper tools and safety, and using a metal brake and mig welder.
No prerequisites! Runs Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7-10pm, for 6 weeks starting October 7th. Cost $800.
