Boca Raton bidders to be offered fabulous four luxury cars
Proceeds to benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County
The Black-Tie Optional Gala will be held Feb. 20 at the Boca Raton Resort & Club in Boca Raton, Fla.
Among the fabulous four is a 2011 Audi R8 V10 Spyder Cabriolet Convertible. The Audi Spyder will be the first delivered in the United States, offering Gala guests the chance of a lifetime to be the first-ever owner of this exotic car.
“The live and silent auctions at the Gala always feature amazing items,” said Jamie McDonnell, Chairman of the Boca Raton Concours d’ Elegance. “This year is no different. In fact, the auction line-up has topped all other years by offering more guests the opportunity to own the very first one of some of the very first all new model luxury and exotic cars first delivered in the United States... The winning bidder will be crowned the first owner in the United States of this stunning new vehicle and even receive an official certificate of authenticity verifying that this particular 2011 Audi R8 V10 is the first Spyder Cabriolet Convertible in the country.”
Special to this year’s live auction, Charles Murphy from Audi, the R8 Product Manager, will be at the Concours d’ Elegance to auction off the R8.
“If guests haven’t received their fill for thrill with the Audi’s newest creation, they can sink their teeth into Ferrari’s latest masterpiece – the 2011 Ferrari 458 Italia,” said Rick Case, Founder of the Boca Raton Concours d’ Elegance. “Guests can attribute this once-in-a-lifetime chance to bid on the Ferrari to Stuart Hayim, owner of Ferrari-Maserati of Fort Lauderdale – The Experience. He made the arrangement with Ferrari to provide the all new Italia for the Boys & Girls Clubs’ Boca Raton Concours d’ Elegance."
If Ferrari and Audi aren’t enough to rev guests’ engines, the 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG surely will. Powering the SLS is a revised version of AMG’s now-familiar 6.2-liter 32-valve V-8. In the SLS, the engine makes 563 hp at 6800 rpm and 479 lb-ft of torque at 4750 rpm.
And rounding out the fabulous four will be the first in the United States 2011 Hyundai Equus, a new ultra-luxury sedan featuring an award-winning 4.6L Tau V8 engine.
At the Gala, guests will have the chance to witness the presentation of the Automotive Lifetime Achievement award to famed Mike Jackson, Chairman and CEO of AutoNation, and the presentation of the Lee Iacocca Award. Guests will also experience a live performance by comedian and renowned television host Dennis Miller. The weekend’s festivities will also include the DuPont Registry Friday Night Live! reception at Boca Raton Airport Hangar, featuring exotic cars and corporate jets on Friday, February 19th; and the Concours d’ Elegance Automobile and Motorcycle Exhibition on Sunday, Feb. 21st. ??Visit the Boca Raton Concours d’ Elegance website at www.bocaratonconcours.com to register for the Automobile and Motorcycle exhibition.
