“I have never won anything more than a scatch-off lotto ticket, so this is new for me,” said Wayne Burgess of Ellijay, Georgia, after being chosen the winner of Old Cars Weekly’s “Fall Garage Giveaway Sweepstakes”.

Burgess’s name was pulled at random from more than 118,000 entries. His stroke of luck has netted him a garage full of prizes, including:

The 60-year-old Burgess is married with one child and four grandchildren. He operates a 27-acre farm in the Georgia mountains and also runs a small business selling antenna launchers and walking sticks with fishing poles built into them. “I have too many hobbies my wife tells me,” Burgess said. “I am a ham radio operator, a skywarn spotter for the National Weather Service, I pan for gold here in the mountains, plus try to keep a 27-acre farm going.”

Burgess’s old car fleet includes an unrestored 1953 Volkswagen Beetle, and a 1966 Ford Bronco.
