The Kiawah Island Motoring Retreat (KIMR) will take place April 15-17 and will feature world-class concours cars in a judged event and several other activities for car enthusiasts. The setting will be at the entrance to the famed Ocean Course in a spectacular scenic park.
Visitors will see world-class domestic, foreign classic and antique automobiles. One hundred unique and rare cars will compete for the Best in Show trophy at Sunday’s Concours along with additional awards.

A weekend of events on Kiawah Island will include a reception at the Ocean Course, seminars led by respected experts, a motoring tour through South Carolina’s coastal Lowcountry, an Open House Tour of select Kiawah homes and a Taste of Charleston event featuring several local celebrity chefs.

FRIDAY, APRIL 15
10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Kiawah Motoring Tour
Tour scenic Johns, Wadmalaw & Kiawah islands with a stop at the Firefly Distillery for lunch and a moonshine tasting. Drivers will gather at 10am at Freshfields Village Square for coffee and donuts. The tour concludes back at Freshfield Village with a wine tasting at “48”.
Space limited to 50 classic cars.
Price: $75 for driver / $40 for passenger (limit one passenger)
2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Automotive Seminars
Featuring classic car valuation trends and the design evolution of the automobile. Seminars to take place in the second floor conference room at The Ocean Course Club House.

Lowcountry Oyster Roast and Craft Beer Tasting
6:30 to 9 p.m.
The Kiawah Island Motoring Retreat presents a superb offering of wines and food at the Golf Club at Briar's Creek

SATURDAY, APRIL 16

Cars on Kiawah
This free event takes place at the Ocean Park Concours site and features more than 200 cars from local and regional car clubs and individual collectors. Price: Free admission; donations welcome. $5 parking with shuttle to Ocean Park event site.
