Massachusetts Legislators to Hear Pro-Hobbyist Bill

SEMA model legislation (H.B. 3458/H.B. 3567) that would create a vehicle registration classification for street rods and custom vehicles and provide for special license plates for these vehicles will be considered by the Massachusetts Joint Transportation Committee on Oct. 11. (The joint committee is comprised of both House and Senate members.)

The bills would allow kit cars and replica vehicles to be assigned a certificate of title bearing the same model year designation as the production vehicle they most closely resemble. SEMA urges hobbyists to contact all members of the Massachusetts Joint Transportation Committee Immediately (List Below) to request their support for the bills.

SEMA is requesting that Massachusetts residents contact members of the Massachusetts Joint Transportation Committee immediately by phone, fax or e-mail to request their support for H.B. 3458 and H.B. 3567.
