German Engineering and a Million Matchsticks

Michael Ardnt is one German fellow with way to much time on his hands. According to a German auto Web site, over the course of six years he built a full-scale replica of a McLaren 4/14 F1 car out of matchsticks.
Resting on the tire of his matchstick creation is the model he based his creation on.
At a cost of roughly $9,000, the build project took nearly 956,000 matchsticks and 1,658 tubes of glue to complete.
The scale-model replica was designed to be broken down into 45 separate parts so that it could be removed from his kitchen once complete.
