Mecum Kansas City to offer 750 cars
A third day of television coverage has been added to annual Kansas City event Dec. 2-4
Lot S64: 1957 Ford Thunderbird F Bird Convertible, 312/300 HP.
Mecum Auctions' 2010 Kansas City sale will feature 750 collector vehicles. The consignment list includes a rare F-code 1957 Ford Thunderbird convertible. Only 212 factory supercharged models were produced for ’57, and this award-winning “F-bird” features a total restoration. All of the auction vehicles are displayed indoors under one roof, making Mecum Kansas City an easy-to-navigate auction for buyers and enthusiasts.
Mecum Auctions recently announced that it has added a third day of television coverage to its annual Kansas City event, which takes place Dec. 2-4 at the Kansas City Convention Center/Bartle Hall in Kansas City, Mo. Attendees can be part of a live television audience as the auction will be broadcast for three days on Mecum’s TV series, “Mecum Auto Auction: Muscle Cars & More” on Discovery Communications’ HD Theater.
“After the success of last year’s event, we decided to add a third day of TV broadcasting to the Kansas City auction in order to feature even more outstanding vehicles and the eager buyers we had onsite,” said Dana Mecum, company president. “From muscle cars to neon signs and memorabilia — an ever-growing market among collectors and enthusiasts — everyone’s favorite marque is represented at this event.”
