Owner reunited with stolen Model T
A southeast Oklahoma City, Okla., resident, whose beloved antique car was stolen in mid-January, has been reunited.
A stolen 1915 Ford Model T roadster was recovered this week, reuniting the car with its elderly owner and providing a happy ending to a case that generated much local and national publicity. The car was found outside a southeast Oklahoma City ballroom. The trailer the car was stolen in was also found later.
The missing car was discovered outside the Diamond Ballroom, a few miles from the house of Don and Doris Coshow, from where it was stolen. According to a story posted on www.newsok.com, the Model T, which belongs to Herrman Campbell, had been left behind the building, but was still in “excellent” condition. The Model T was stolen from the driveway of the Coshows’ southeast Oklahoma City residence Jan. 18. Campbell built the car piece by piece in the 1940s.
“That man wanted his car back. He talks about it like a child,” Doris Coshow said in the newsok.com report.
At press time, no suspects had been arrested.
