Peach Auction Sales, a relative newcomer to the business is geared up to expand its market share this weekend. Located at 660 Peavy Road in Byron, Ga., the 60-acre complex is visible to motorists traveling on I-75.
The collection of over 100 cars has something for everyone's taste. The most buzz on the web is about a 1970 Torino Twister Special, built by a group of Ford Dealers as an answer to Mercury's success with their Cyclone. This Cobra Jet powered fastback was one of 90 built.
The next unique offering is a 2005 Mustang built as a prototype featuring a specially constructed Ford big block that displaces 600 cubes and dynos out 800hp!
If you are in the market for a Mustang, Peach Auction Sales is the place to be this weekend. From a very nice 1965 coupe all the way to the aforementioned Shadrach custom, all fancies can be accommodated.
Other autos of special interest to OCW that we will be following are a very streetable 1941 Willys Coupe, a 1955 Crown Victoria with later model Ford power, and a distinguished 1933 Chrysler, that if not a full classic ought to be.
